Kira Gedris

Kira is an undergraduate studying Cybersecurity at BYU. Her professional interests focus on penetration testing, identifying and securing vulnerabilities, discovering how things work and how to fix them, as well as learning as much as she can from other IT disciplines.

“I find this project engaging because we are building an interactive, hands-on learning experience that gives students the chance to practice skills they may not have exposure to until later years of study in Cybersecurity. It also emphasizes the need for ethical decision making and creativity. By developing these attributes in addition to their technical knowledge and ability to work well with others, future security professionals will be better equipped to keep people and their sensitive information safe.”
