Hopper to Become Bronze Falls First Chief Information Security Officer

Bronze Falls – Mayor Bridget Adams Moore announced at a morning press conference the hiring of Dr. Susan Hopper as Chief Information Security Officer for the City of Bronze Falls.  Dr. Hopper became a consultant to the City in the initial phases of the Smarter Bronze Falls Initiative (SBFI), and last year conducted a comprehensive overview of the city’s cybersecurity infrastructure.  Her report recommended the establishment of an Office of Information Security, which was enabled by grant awards from the federal Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Energy (DOE).   “This was a highly-competitive hiring process – it was a national search, and we had solid internal and external candidates.  Dr. Hopper is a little bit of both,” remarked Mayor Moore…
